Piano Theory exams are conducted twice a year, and their registration exercise usually takes place a few months before the actual exam. It is advisable to add an entry in your calendar as a reminder so you won’t miss the registration deadline.
If you are registering for online exams (Performance Grades), remember to allow yourself enough time for the submission of the video recording. The video submission portal is very popular and you might have to wait for hours before you can upload your recording. Ensure that you are using a PC or laptop with a LAN connection rather than Wi-Fi. Alternatively, you can download the video and upload it from your computer later.
For the recital section, you will have to perform a set of high-difficulty piano pieces. You will also have to speak with your examiner and do a quick study exam, where you have to sight read some pieces.
